After many years of suffering from what can only be desribed as'Blog phobia' ... I have taken my first step today(a huge one at that!)towards facing this problem head on. "if you can't beat them, join them" is an old adage that comes to mind!
The truth is, I love talking, I am quite opinionated (or so I have been told!)in that I usually have a view on most issues, not to mention the fact that now I have my own business, it is undoubtedly a great way of networking ... infact the more I think about it ....Blogging sounds just up my street !! Watch this space

- Originally from the UK, I moved to Cape Town, South Africa after arriving here originally for just a 6 month sabatical and then finding I did not want to go home!! South Africa is kind of addictive ... there is always somewhere or someone new to experience & meet. Being fairly experienced within Hotel Management when in the UK, I decided to continue this path in Cape Town, especially as it was 1994, a 'New South Africa' was emerging and tourism was about to boom. (I am not often in the right place at the right time - but was spot on this time!!) I later found my true forte, was that of Sales and Marketing within hospitality. It was indeed this, along with my passion for people ... not forgetting a great desire to be my own boss of course ...that led to SomewhereSOUTH being born! www.somewheresouth.co.za
