Anyone for tea ?

I have a confession to make ... I have been for Afternoon tea at The Mount Nelson Hotel three times since April! So what you might say?, but only if you have never experienced what can only be described as 'pure indulgence'.

The truth is, its another place always on the agenda when I have visitors from overseas and never fails to impress. Infact it was in April this year, when a friend visited from Jersey, that we found ourselves sat next to none other than Morgan Freeman, who was of course in town filming Invictus. I was there again in September when my Mum was in town and then this week once more, except this time it was business. My monthly sales meeting with Winchester Mansions always takes place at another Cape Town Hotel, for educational purposes ...and this time it was 'The Nellie' as the hotel is fondly referred to by locals. One thing I did discover, is that when your indulgence is 'work related'... one does not feel half as guilty. "Afterall", I thought, as I helped myself to a slice of cheesecake, "it would have been the height of rudeness to decline!"
